Additionally, Mike is a member of Melita Chapter No. 116, Order of the Eastern Star, a Senior DeMolay, and active member of the DeMolay Legion of Honor, Chevalier, a Lifetime member of the DeMolay Alumni Association, a member of the Philalethes Society and the Scottish Rite Research Society. He is a member of Scottish Rite (A.A.S.R.S.J.) Bodies of Salina, serving as Personal Representative to the Deputy of the Supreme Council in Kansas in 1995. Mike became Potentate of ISIS Shrine of Salina in 2004, Sovereign Master of the Allied Masonic Degrees in 2004. Mike was also inducted into the Royal Order of Scotland in 1999. In June 2009, at the United Imperial Council Session, then Grand Sovereign Erwin O’Dell, appointed Mike as the Intendent General for the Division of Kansas, and he continues to serve in this position. In July 2011, Joe E. Manning, Jr., Governor General for the York Rite Sovereign College of North America, appointed him to the office of Grand Governor for the State of Kansas to fill the unexpired term of our Grand Governor Christopher D. Tomlinson, due to his untimely death. Mike has been reappointed to this position.
